MARCH! 2025
Join us for a 5-week series of drop-in training and registered workshops led by members of the Vancouver stilt community: stilters of all levels welcome. Learning to walk on stilts (and then to dance on stilts) is an exciting and fun way to exercise, play, and perform as well as challenge one’s own fears, to overcome and succeed!
Want to try stilting for the first time? Contact us to arrange a coach and/or pair of stilts for a date of your choosing. FYI an extra fee may be asked depending on the teacher & coaching time requested. Space is limited.

12:30 - 1:30 "Flocking" Development with Amira

About the Workshop:
Flocking is an exercise in group improvisation, a form of "follow the leader" and a fascinating sight, especially when the dancers are giants. As a group we will explore.
March 30: 12:30 - 2:30 Stilt Dance with Isabelle Kirouac
- Arrive at 12:15
- Registration Required - $40
Learn and play with improvisation, partnering techniques, and acrobatics! In this class, we will explore and deepen the art and technique of stilt dancing, integrating stilts inversions, fluid choreographic sequences, improvisation and partnering work inspired by Contact Improvisation, contemporary release technique and somatics. All exercises will be taught with an emphasis on safety, body awareness and proper alignment. This is a unique opportunity to further your practice, challenge yourself and explore new possibilities.
This class is for people already comfortable walking in stilts.
